Last month, Kryst delivered commentary at the Miss Universe competition, which she was invited to “one of the brightest, nicest, and most generous persons we’ve ever known. Her death has been felt by everyone in our community.”
The former student-athlete was praised by the University of South Carolina, who described her as “a woman of many skills.” Kryst also earned a master’s degree in business administration from Wake Forest University.
